These chocolate berry overnight oats are sure to give you a reason to get out of bed! Using our classic chocolate porridge mix, and protein calls from our sister company , this recipe only uses natural sugars from the fruits and nuts that go into them.

*Please note, since this recipe was created, no longer sells the Raspberry Brownie flavour protein balls. The good news is, there are 9 other delicious flavours to choose from! Our top three picks would be Choc Chip Muffin, Salted Caramel or Peanut Butter. The choice of course, is up to you!*

M±ð³Ù³ó´Ç»å

  • Start by adding 55g of ourÌýClassic ChocolateÌýOats into anÌýjar along with 1 tbsp cacao powder (for that extra chocolately zing!) and 100mlÌýof your choice of milk (we used unsweetened oat milk).Ìý

  • Stir everything thoroughly. We recommend chilling in the fridge overnight, but you can eat after a couple of hours if you're in a rush!

For the Topping

To serve, add a dollop of your choice of chocolate yoghurt or mousse. We opted to use some of our own that we had whipped up (see below).

*OPTIONAL* - To make our own mousse, we used a 220ml tub of plant-based double cream fromÌýour friends (you can sub with a dairy or other plant-based substitute), 1 tablespoon of cocca powder, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a 2 teaspoons of maple syrup and a sprinkle of sea salt. Give it a mix first with a wooden spoon to combine the ingredients, then whisk with a hand whisker. Once it thickens, transfer to a bowl and leave to chill for at least 30 mins.Ìý

  • Finally, top with Raspberries (or your favourite berry!) and some delicious protein balls of your choice from our sister company .Ìý

What are overnight oats?

Spring has sprung, which means we’re all about the overnight oats! Creamy, simple, and delicious, overnight oats are the perfect make-ahead breakfast and you will find us eating them on repeat all season long!Ìý

When time and taste are of the essence, overnight oars are awaiting. These little jars of goodness allow you to experience what we like to call pure oat joy. Be prepared to swoon over these dreamy, pudding-like breakfasts, that are going to supercharge your summer mornings.ÌýÌý

Overnight oars are essentially a no-cook method of making porridge. So instead of making them with hot water, you soak the raw oats in milk, or with a plant-based alternative! Leaving the oats to soak overnight allows them to soften enough to be eaten uncooked.Ìý

What Are Overnight Oats

What are the benefits?Ìý

Not only do overnight oats taste delicious, but they are also pretty good for you too! Let’s see why foodies across the nation are falling head over heels for them…Ìý

Raw oats are one of the best sources of resistant starch. This gut-friendly starch passes through your small intestine undigested until it reaches the colon. Here, the resistant starch acts as a food source for the good bacteria which can be found in your gut - helping to maintain the good to bad gut bacteria.Ìý

You know when you relax in a hot bubble bath and you can feel the negative energy seeping from your pores? Well, that’s kind of what happens with overnight oats…hold with us on this one! Soaking the raw oats in your choice of milk or plant-based alternative means that the nutrients are absorbed into the liquid overnight, making sure you get all the goodness possible!Ìý

How to get the perfect overnight oats…Ìý

Note pads at the ready; we’ve got a few top tips to share with you to make sure you perfect the art of overnight oats (yes, it is an art in its own right!).Ìý

Good quality oatsÌý

This one is the easiest step of them all, as luckily all our flavours are made with delicious, high quality, all-natural ingredients. Using good quality oats will ensure that not only does your breakfast taste, great, but it also has the perfect creamy consistency we all dream of!Ìý

Go for an airtight containerÌý

Opt for a glass, airtight container - this will ensure that your oats' temperature is well maintained. It’s also slightly safer as opposed to plastic one - we can’t be having any OATrageous leaky porridge disasters, after all!Ìý

It’s all in the detailsÌý

Luckily, our porridge mixes taste great as they are - however, if you’re looking for a little extra magic, the time to go wild is with the toppings. At this time of year, we’re a sucker for fresh berries and a drizzle of honey to bring the whole dish together.ÌýÌý

And there you have it, a crash course in overnight oats! This deliciously creamy breakfast is a real winner for us. They are great to grab and go, so perfect for those with busy schedules! Overnight oats are also the ideal healthy addition to your summer picnic spreads!Ìý

In need of some overnight OATspiration? Don’t worry, we have you covered. Try out our Summer Oat Bundle, complete with 4 of our best-selling summer flavours and an exclusive overnight oats recipe, just for you!Ìý
